Quick Guide: How to Crochet a Corner-to-Corner (C2C) Square
Corner-to-Corner crochet is worked diagonally, creating a square design by increasing and decreasing small crochet blocks.
Step 1 – Start Your First Block
Chain six stitches. Work double crochet stitches into the chain to create your first C2C block.
Step 2 – Increase the Rows
Continue increasing one block per row until the square reaches its widest point.
Follow the graph carefully and change colours where indicated to create the polar bear design.
Step 3 – Follow the C2C Graph
Each small square on the graph represents one C2C block. The written instructions below follow the same colour changes and row order.
Step 4 – Decrease the Square
Once the centre point has been reached, begin decreasing each row until you reach the final corner.
Step 5 – Complete Your Square
Fasten off, weave in your ends and gently block your finished square before joining it with your other animal blocks.
