Each square is worked in joined rounds using 3dc clusters and corner spaces.
Round 1
Make a magic ring.
Ch 3 (counts as 1 dc)
2 dc into ring
Ch 2
*3 dc into ring, ch 2* repeat 3 more times
You should have 4 groups of 3 dc separated by ch-2 spaces
Join with slip stitch to top of starting chain
Fasten off
Round 2
Join new colour in any corner space.
Ch 3 (counts as 1 dc)
1 dc in same corner
Ch 2, 2 dc in same corner
1 dc in each stitch along side
At next corner: 2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc
