Joining the Crochet Squares
Your crochet squares can be joined using any joining method you prefer.
For the sample shown, the blanket squares were joined using:
- a yarn needle
- matching yarn
- a relaxed blanket stitch
How the Squares Were Joined
- Place two crochet squares together with the right sides facing inward
- Join the two squares together
- Add the 3rd and 4th square to form one long panel of 4 crochet squares
- Repeat until your blanket rows are complete
Join Panels of 4 Squares
Once you have created your long blanket panels:
- Place two long panels of 4 crochet squares together
- Keep the right sides facing inward
- Join the panels together using a relaxed blanket stitch
- Continue until your full blanket has been assembled
Once the blanket is joined, you can begin adding the crochet border.

Crochet Border Instructions
After joining all your crochet blanket squares, begin the decorative crochet border.
Stitch Count Before Starting Border
After joining the blanket, you should have approximately:
- 168 stitches on the short side - (4 squares joined together)*
- 252 stitches on the long side - (6 squares joined together)*
Border Note
Join each new round into the first stitch after the final corner.
